The Messenger. 05.26.08 Stanley Dean “Beaver” Thomas, 53, of South Fulton died 9:47 a.m. May 24, 2008, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Revs. James Bowlin and Anthony Johnson and Regina Thomas officiating. Burial will follow there in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday. He was born June 11, 1954, in Clinton, Ky., son of Betty Ann (Thomas) and Earl Crisp Jr. of Clinton. He was married to the former Joyce Scott, who survives, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He attended the former Memphis State University and Tennessee Tech in Cookeville and received a degree in electronic engineering. A member of Moore’s Chapel AME Church in Clinton, where he had lived most of his life before moving to South Fulton, he had been employed at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City in the receiving department for 18 years. Survivors also include five daughters, Bernita Thomas, Pamela Thomas, Paulette Thomas and Victoria Scott, all of Clinton, and Rachel Scott of Fulton; his son, Kevin Thomas of Clinton; two brothers, Earl “Bob” Crisp III of Albuquerque, N.M., and Keith Crisp of Clinton; and two sisters, Wilma Crisp of Joliet, Ill., and Gwendolyn Olive of Clinton.
