Completed arrangements are being announced for Gregory Lane “Greg” Fossett, 50, of Paducah, Ky., a former resident of Fulton, who died 4:22 p.m. May 20, 2008, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with private burial following in Mount Kenton Cemetery in Paducah.
A memorial service is also planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Lone Oak (Ky.) First Baptist Church. Friends are asked to meet there at the service hour. In addition, friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening and from 8 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
The family requests that memorials be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 120 Wall St., 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005; or Fossett Children Education Fund, Paducah Bank, P.O. Box 2600, Paducah, KY 42002.
He was born Sept. 19, 1957, in Stuttgart, Germany, son of William L. “Bill” and Nancy (Wilson) Fossett of Fulton. He was married to the former Dianne Jay, who survives, and was general manager of Tilford Contractors. He was a 1975 graduate of Fulton City High School and had lived in Fulton most of his life before moving to Paducah 16 years ago. He attended Lone Oak First Baptist Church.
Survivors also include three daughters, Laura (Fossett) Spadafino of Fulton and Sarah Elizabeth Fossett and Mary Katherine Fossett, both of Paducah; four sons, William Lane Fossett II, Joseph Andrew Fossett, Timothy Edward Fossett and Michael Wilson Fossett, all of Paducah; two grandchildren, Jocelyn Grace Spadafino and Vito William Spadafino, both of Fulton; his sister, Leslie Worthington of Dunwoody, Ga.; and his brother, Robert W. Fossett of Collierville.
