Youth Day slated
Bells Chapel C.M.E. Church, located at 207 North Highland Drive in Fulton, will celebrate its annual Youth Day Sunday at 3 p.m.
Guests of the congregation will be Elder Lutisha Taylor, the afternoon speaker, and the congregation of New Covenant Ministries in South Fulton.
The Rev. Eric McKinney invites the community to attend.

Missions event set
“Spring Into Missions” will be the program Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cottonwood Baptist Church, located at 125 Gratio Road in Ridgely.
The program will feature Charlie and Jennifer Dover, missionaries to Macedonia.

VBS to begin
Lake Road Baptist Church will host “Club VBS: Cactus Canyon” beginning Sunday with a kick-off event from 6-9 p.m. Classes will be in session Tuesday through May 30 from 6-8 each evening.
Family day will be the final day of the school from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church near Union City.

Island fun planned
Union City Second Baptist Church, located at 831 Everett Blvd., will begin Vacation Bible School June 2 and continue through June 6 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. daily. Children who have completed kindergarten through those completing fifth grade are invited to attend, a spokesman said. The theme will be “Outrigger Island: Living God’s Unshakeable Truth™,” based on Psalm 86:11.

Homecoming set
Mount Zion United Methodist Church will celebrate the church’s 164th homecoming Sunday and the Rev. Hugh Barksdale and the congregation invite the community to join them. The Rev. Stan Waldon, district superintendent of the Dyersburg District, will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m.
A meal will be served following worship and the Mount Zion Cemetery Association will meet in the afternoon after the meal.

Decoration Day set
Cobbs Chapel United Methodist Church, located on Shawtown Road near Hornbeak, will celebrate homecoming and Decoration Day Sunday. Sunday school will begin at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11. The community is invited to attend and enjoy old-time singing from The Cokesbury hymnbook.
A potluck meal will be served after the service and the cemetery association meeting will begin at 1:30.
Donations for the upkeep of the cemetery may be mailed to Mayme Denton at 3623 West Main St., Union City, TN 38261.
The Rev. Terry English and the congregation invite the community to join them.

Decoration Day set
Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church will hold its Decoration Day Sunday, with Sunday school beginning at 10 a.m., followed by the worship service at 11. The Rev. Judd Mowery, pastor, will bring the morning message. A potluck meal will be served at noon and there will be a brief cemetery association meeting at 1:15.
Following that session, local talent will present congregational singing. The public is invited to attend.
