Two students in the BioMedical Electronics Technology program at the Tennessee Technology Center at McKenzie recently passed the Certified Electronics Technician exam.
The students are Kelly Guest of Milan and Brian Laderman of Martin. Instructor Donald Guerin was recently certified to give the exam.
The TTC-McKenzie is a testing site authorized by the Electronics Technicians Association for this exam. These two successfully completed the associate level of the four-part exam, which is for an electronics technician or students with less than two years of combined work and/or electronics training.
“This lets potential employers know that the student who has passed this exam has been thoroughly trained and can demonstrate professional proficiency,” explained exam administrator Donald Guerin.
The TTC-McKenzie offers training opportunities in nine others programs. They are Automotive, Business Systems, Computer Operations, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Practical Nursing, Machine Tool, HVAC, and Welding.
