Kid College set for June 2-12

The University of Tennessee at Martin’s 24th annual Kid College is slated for June 2-12. Kid College is a nine-day program for children who will attend kindergarten in 2008 through the fifth grade in 2008. The goal of Kid College is to provide children with an opportunity to have a fun, learning experience.
Parents may review the course descriptions and select the course(s) for their children based on their interest and the appropriate grade level. Children may register for one to five courses.
Grades kindergarten through second grade may choose from Astronauts, Comets and Stars, Oh My!; Karate for Kids; Painting on Glass; Preparing to be a Pet Pro; Collage College; Creepy Crawlies and Spooky Spiders; Hands-On Grossology; Junior Space Camp; Moving and Grooving Fitness; Painting with a Sense of Humor; Around the World Geography, for an additional $10; Junior American Girl Hair Salon; Baking with Miss Baker; Scrapbook Fun; T-Rex and Friends; and many more.
Children in grades 3-5 may choose from Cup Stacking Frenzy; Sweet Rooms That Rock; Kids Sew Cool; Partners in Crime; Scrapbook Fun; Dinosaur Discovery; Beginning Guitar; Junior Paramedics; Paint Pizzazz; Senior Space Camp; Exploring Ancient Egypt; Baby Sitting 101; and many more.
Everyone is invited to attend the open house from 4:30-6:30 p.m., June 12. All parents, family and friends are invited to drop by and meet the teachers, view displays and watch demonstrations. Refreshments will be served.
Registration fee is $40 per class and Kid College T-shirts are available for an additional $10.
