Fifteen members of the Dresden High School class of 1961 met for dinner at the Catfish Restaurant on Saturday, May 3. Classmates attending included Priscilla Fay Breeden of Sharon, Jerry and Barbara Houston of Martin, Sara Ellen Reid of Cordova, James Simmons of New Johnsonville, Linda Fay Cox of Cayce, Ky., Bob Hunt of Union City, Ann Blackburn of Nashville, Kay Usery, Joe Crews, Genieva Wright, Bobby Scott, Patsy Hornbeak, Norma Stroud and Sandra Klutts, all of Dresden. Spouses and guests attending were Kenneth Wright, Nell Scott, Ted Hornbeak, Beverly Hunt, and Gerry and Amy McCoy Melton.
Pearl Lawson and her grandson, Noah Gallimore, visited their daughter and mother, Janet Gallimore, over the weekend in New Orleans, La.
Dr. and Mrs. Hunter Welles of Jackson, Judge and Mrs. David Welles of Franklin were Mother’s Day visitors of their mother, Mrs. E. H. Welles.
Clay Anderson of Old Hickory was home for Mother’s Day with his parents, Sue and Dwayne Maddox.
Toni Pritchett attended the graduation of her grandson, Chase Crawford, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Ann Blackburn of Nashville and Sara Ellen Reid of Memphis were the recent overnight visitors of Sandra and Jack Klutts.
Nyle and Cathy Carlton had as Mother’s Day guests his parents, Sue and Harold Blow of McLemoresville, and his sister, Diane McClure of Cox’s Creek, Ky.
Amy Ray of Jackson was the Friday visitor of her parents, Betty and Bill Featherstone.
Danny and Regina Patterson had their children with them for Mother’s Day. They are Mr. and Mrs. Dusty Patterson of Knoxville and Cassi Patterson, a student at University of Memphis.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Beard had their children with them for Mother’s Day. They are Mrs. Danny (Lisa) Kesterson of Dover, Bentley, Celene, Thomas, Benjamin and Andrew Beard of Union City, and Betsy Metler of Martin.
Katie Quinton of Christian Brothers University in Memphis was home for the weekend with her parents, John and Gail Quinton. Nicholas Quinton of Tallahassee, Fla., visited briefly with his family on Sunday. His wife, Melanie, remained in Brownsville with her parents to be with her mother who is ill.wcp 5-15-08
