Reelfoot DAR members attend conference, bring home awards
Mary Dunavant, regent of Reelfoot Chapter, worked during the convention as vice chairman of credentials of the State Chairmen of Standing Tennessee Committees. She served in that position for three years of State Regent Judith Chaffin’s term.
Reelfoot Chapter brought home several awards, including a silver award for TSDAR Chapter Achievement; recognition for support of local libraries; Chickasaw District Winner for Excellence in Women’s Issues Programs and Activities; first place for special events for recognizing DAR Good Citizens; second place for David Crockett; a certificate for 2008 yearbook award; outstanding media coverage for TSDAR Public Relations and Media, Chickasaw district; Most Outstanding Report for TSDAR Public Relations and Media; first place for greatest number of publicity inches during Constitution Week; Recognition for Usage of “Today’s DAR Video” for TSDAR Public Relations and Media; tied for first place for outstanding report — DAR Good Citizen; first place for outstanding press coverage for DAR Good Citizens; certificate of award for Application Completion Expert Participation; and certificate of award for Save our Members — no members dropped.
