Freddie Eugene Deaton
Freddie Eugene Deaton, 70, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at his home.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Everett’s Chapel Cemetery in McKenzie, with Bro. Don Bowlin officiating.
Chris Beckett, Terry Markel, Eddie Bell, David Bell, Teddy Bell and Terry Lovell served as pallbearers.
Deaton was born Oct. 25, 1937, in Gleason, the son of the late Bryant and Agnes Ellis Deaton. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenfield.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Deaton of Greenfield and Michael Deaton of McKenzie; a daughter, Shelia Deaton of Greenfield; six sisters, Ailene Vickers and Patsy Lovell, both of Gleason, Brooksie Owens of Henry, Dorothy Burlison of New Johnsonville, Joy Lewis of Greenfield and Reba Gallimore of McKenzie; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Deaton; and a brother, David Deaton.
