Delma L. Shelton, 93, of the Crutchfield (Ky.) community died 6:47 a.m. May 15, 2008, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Ronald Cruse officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services.
She was born Aug. 15, 1914, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Sidney Lee and Ruthie (Tanner) Moore. She was the widow of Albert “Macon” Shelton, who died Jan. 31, 1963. A charter member of Crutchfield Baptist Church since 1926, she was a homemaker who had lived in that community all her life.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Shelton of Mayfield, Ky., and David Lee Shelton of Crutchfield; her granddaughter, Leigh Ann Lane; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Lane and Stephen Lane.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Albert “Leon” Shelton, who died in 1990, and four brothers and five sisters.
