Miss Ray, Taylor to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Lydia Beth Ann Ray and Lance Cpl. Robert Paul “Robbie” Taylor is being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Ray of Kenton. She is the granddaughter of Emily Woods, the late Dairl Woods and Peggy and Grady Ray, all of Kenton, and the late Joye and Charles Kempf, formerly of Kenton.
She will be a 2008 graduate of Obion County Central High School and plans to pursue a career in the medical field after the couple settles in North Carolina.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Patterson of Greenfield. He is the grandson of LA and Rebecca Baucom of Kenton and Ruby June Taylor of Rutherford and the late Don Taylor.
He is a 2004 graduate of Greenfield High School. He earned a certificate in tool and die from McKenzie Technological Center in 2006. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 2006 and is an air framer on CH-53 helicopters.
The couple will wed at 3 p.m. on June 7 at Moore’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Greenfield. Music will begin at 2:30.
A reception will follow in the fellowship hall at the church.
All family and friends are invited to attend.
Only out of town invitations will be sent.
The couple will temporarily reside at Edwards Air Force Base in California until the groom’s transfer to Cherry Point, N.C., in August.
