The Kentucky State Police is warning the public of a scam that recently began appearing in people’s e-mail inboxes.
The KSP has received multiple complaints of an e-mail from “FEDEX Courier Service,” with the e-mail stating that recipients should contact “FEDEX Courier Service and give them personal information so a check can be delivered to their homes. The e-mail contains poor grammar and sentence structure, indicating that the author is not fluent in the English language, according to the KSP.
This e-mail is not from the Federal Express shipping company. The public is being reminded to delete any e-mail that asks for personal information. In addition, it is a good practice never to give any personal information when responding to any e-mails, the KSP said.
