Completed arrangements are being announced for James Thurman Pollard, 77, of Rives, who died May 13, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services were set for 2 p.m. today at Obion County Memorial Gardens. The Rev. James Kinsey and Larry Hitesman were to officiate.
Pallbearers were to be David Worley, Dale Reasons, Claude Gray and Gary Hurt.
He was born Nov. 23, 1931, in Weakley County, son of the late Thurman Thomas and Annie Mae (Richmond) Pollard. He was a retired self-employed truck driver and a member of Sunswept Baptist Church in Union City.
Survivors include three daughters, Tina Batts of South Fulton, Dorothy Robinson of Phoenix and Mary Elizabeth Pollard of Memphis; three sons, James Terry Pollard of South Fulton and Ronald Eugene Pollard and Randy Lee Pollard, both of Greenfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Dill of Brentwood and Ella Worley of Union City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Deena Ann Cordaze; and his sister, Dorothy (Pollard) Hurt Salyards.
