Sportsman camps an experience like no other
By: Rob Somerville
These “Youth Sportsman Camps” for boys and girls, will help your child develop and strengthen hunting and outdoor skills, build positive peer and family relationships, and ensure that your child knows what the hunt is really all about as they develop a passion for God, the Creator of all things wild.
Meet the Director
The Covenant Ranch is proud to introduce Jon Paul Moody as the new executive director. Jon Paul is no stranger to the area, as he was born and raised right here in Henry County. Many of you have already met Jon Paul through the ministry of the Covenant Ranch. He has volunteered his time and God given gifts at the Ranch on many occasions during the SonRise Adventure Camps, retreats and workshops over the last several years. Jon Paul has been working each week this summer, during the sportsman and bowhunter camps, preparing for his role as the director.
Jon Paul, Erin (wife) and Carter (son) are excited about the opportunity that God has given them to minister here at the Covenant Ranch. He Paul brings a lot to the table and has much experience in the area of ministry. He worked 11 summers on staff at Fort Bluff camp in Dayton Tennessee. He is a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Paris Tennessee, where he serves as deacon, youth leader, Sunday school teacher and leads in a weekly youth bible study. Jon Paul graduated from Mid-Continent Baptist Bible College in 1998 with a degree in Christian Education, and a minor in Psychology and Biblical Studies. He is also the founder and president of Harvest Outdoor Ministries, Inc. (www.harvestoutdoorministries.com). This is a ministry with the goal of evangelizing lost sportsmen through local church events, such as wild game dinners and sportsmen banquets all across the country. Each year, Jon Paul is able to see many men, women, boys, and girls come to know Christ through this ministry.
Jon Paul is passionate about his love for hunting and the outdoors, in which he is very knowledgeable and experienced. He is a two time “World Champion of the NRA Great American Game Calling Challenge”. He is highly capable of teaching and demonstrating hunting and game calling tips and techniques to the young and old alike. Jon Paul is very creative and is always developing new ideas and activities to get kids involved in God’s great outdoors.
