Union City head girls’ basketball coach Jeff Chandler recorded his fifth career hole-in-one with an ace at Wynridge Greens in Troy.
Chandler holed an 118-yard shot on No. 7 with a 52-degree sand wedge.
Witnessing the feat was his son, Ryan, a player at Christian Brothers University, Ray Swift, Jerry Long and George Owens.

on 14A glitter squads

District 14A softball champion South Fulton and runnerup Union City were both well-repesented on the all-district and all-tournament team.
Haley McKinney, Melissa Reams, Kayla Davidson, Paxton Sisson and Kaci Daughtery earned all-league honors for the Devilettes,
Meanwhile, McKinney, Reams, Davidson and Katie Bivens were selected to the all-tourney squad.
UC put Karly Hollis, Allison McCullough, Corey Anne Youree and Jade Davis on the all-district team
Gaining all-tournament honors for the Lady Twisters was the trio of Hollis, McCullough and Youree.
Union City’s softball season came to an end on Monday, while South Fulton advanced to the regional semifinals.
