Miss Campbell, Sims to wed The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Sara Jo Campbell of Troy and Cory Brant Sims of Dyersburg is being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Lisa Whipple and Keith Whipple, both of Union City. Her grandparents are Donald Joe and Evelyn Whipple and the late Homer and Kathleen Ferrell, all of Union City.
She is a 1996 graduate of Union City High School. She attended Lambuth University in Jackson and graduated in 2001 from Dyersburg State Community College.
While at Lambuth, she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
She is employed as a registered nurse in the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
The groom-elect is the son of Sue Booth of Mountain Home, Ark., and Reid Sims of Holt, Mo. He is the grandson of Bill and Helen O’Dell of Mountain Home and Wallace and Sharon Sims and the late Glenna Sims of Lawson, Mo.
He is a 1990 graduate of Mountain Home High School.
He is a combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom and is employed at Ermco in Dyersburg.
The couple will wed at 2 p.m. May 24 at First Assembly of God Church in Union City. A reception will be held following the ceremony in the fellowship hall of the church.
All friends and family are invited to attend.
