Final wedding plans stated

The final wedding plans for Whitney Brooke Angel of Union City and Robert Benjamin Thornton of Brownsville are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Barbara Angel and Eugene Angel Jr., both of Union City. She is the granddaughter of the late Kenneth Sublett and Wanda Sublett of Union City and the late Eugene Angel Sr. and Peggy Angel of Hornbeak.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Macon Thornton of Gallatin. His grandparents are the late James Simmons and Bobbie Simmons and the late Dr. John C. Thornton and Lorraine Thornton, all of Brownsville.
Kentheia Revell, friend of the bride-elect, of Union City, will serve as matron of honor. Bridesmaids will be Jenny Pritchett of Jackson; Kim Newsom of Nashville; Lea Thornton, sister of the groom-elect, of Tullahoma; and Brittany Yates, cousin of the bride-elect, of Jackson.
Flower girls will be Reagan Angel, cousin of the bride-elect, of Hornbeak; and Casey Thornton, niece of the groom-elect, of Brownsville.
The groom-elect’s father will serve as best man. Groomsmen will be Regen Thornton, brother of the groom-elect, of Brownsville; Ryan Angel, brother of the bride-elect, of Union City; Holt Pritchett, friend of the groom-elect, of Jackson; and Chris Park, friend of the groom-elect, of Gift.
Ushers will be Josh Henry of Dickson and Tommy Edwards of Lyles, friends of the groom-elect.
Hudson Angel, cousin of the bride-elect, of Hornbeak will be the ring bearer.
Taylor and Hannah Lees, cousins of the groom-elect, of Brownsville will be program registry attendants.
Vocalist will be Jenny Pritchett. Pianist will be Linda Williams of Union City. Kathy Waller of Kenton will be the wedding coordinator.
The Rev. Joe Thornton of Brownsville will officiate the double-ring ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday in the old sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Union City. Music will begin at 5:30.
A reception will follow in the John Tanner National Guard Armory in Union City.
All friends and family are invited to attend.
