Completed arrangements are being announced for Steven Cloar, 49, of Union City, who died May 5, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services were set for 2 p.m. today at Troy City Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Lofton officiating. White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were to be Jay Cloar, David Cloar, Larry Thompson, Bobby Boane, Branden Boane and Odie Erwin.
He was born in Lake County Sept. 26, 1958, son of the late John Hubbard and Effie Jewel (Tabor) Cloar. He had been employed at Fred’s Dollar Store in Union City and he attended Union City Baptist Temple.
Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca (Cloar) McKee of Chicago; two grandchildren, Ronald Everett McKee and Xzvione McKee, both of Chicago; his stepdaughter, Kelly Lofton of Union City; his stepson, Michael Lofton of Mesquite, Texas; several step-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Lynn Travis of Lexington, Ky.; three brothers, John Cloar of Hornbeak, Harry Cloar of Troy and Michael Cloar of Memphis; three aunts, Mildred Benton of Rives, Mary Cloar of Hornbeak and Jessie Foster of Jackson; and his uncle, Rolack Cloar of Enid, Okla.
