Mayme Opal Beachum, 76, of Martin died May 9, 2008, at her home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak.
Pallbearers will be members of Martin First Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
She was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Lake County, daughter of the late Marvin and Reggi (Ashley) Cleek. She married Clyde Grover Beachum Oct. 19, 1948. He survives. She had been employed for 35 years as a construction engineer for Michigan Bell Telephone and was a member of Martin First Baptist Church.
Survivors also include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Kristine Beachum of Howell, Mich.; her grandson, Alex Beachum of Royal Oak, Mich.; three granddaughters, Jamie Lynn Beachum of East Lansing, Mich., Kirstin Beachum of Traverse City, Mich., and Natalie Beachum of Grand Rapids, Mich.; her brother, Gilbert Cleek of Humboldt; and two sisters, Dorothy Mires of Martin and Grace Roles of West Palm Beach, Fla.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters.
