CAUGHT YOU — Students who were “Caught Being Good” at Union City Elementary School in March were honored with an ice cream party and posed with a newly-planted Cherokee Princess dogwood tree on the school’s front lawn recently. The students, who had been tapped by an adult at the school for outstanding behavior and whose names were then entered in a drawing with several of their classmates for the honor, included (from left) Mytaya Knight, Taylor Whitby, Aundrea Meadows, Kyle Herrell, DeCora Alexander (kneeling), Chaniece Pitts, Thomas Paschall and Jaybreon Weatherspoon. Two new dogwood trees were planted by school maintenance personnel, with Boy Scout Troop 252 also adding a tree to the school’s landscaping.
