Blade Johnson, son of April Johnson and Joe Johnson, both of South Fulton, recently celebrated his 6th birthday with several parties.
The first party was held at Southlane Bowling in Union City. A “Dinosaur” theme was used.
Guests were treated to games of bowling. Pizza, cake and drinks were served. Treat bags were distributed to the children.
Attending, in addition to his mother, were his sister, Jacqulyn; his great-grandparents, Dorothy Wills of South Fulton, and Peggy Robinson and Lynn and Sandy Robinson, all of Union City; his aunt, Marsha Bartlett of Union City; and his cousins, Karlee Beth Pugh of Union City and Alyssa Johnson of Dyersburg.
Others attending were Gail Brown; Debbie and Rachel Maddox; Shelby Miller; Kim Alford; Michelle, Preston and Callie Cash; Jeff, Kaye and Haley Vaden; Michael Paul Miller; David and Emily Taylor; Laura and Amelia Kingrey; Bobi, Carson and Emma Collins; Amy and Kaler Bobo; Kendi and Elijah Casey; Cinda Hobbs; Amber, Jack Logan and Sam Jones; Amy and Connor Arnold; Laura and LeahBeth Faulkner; Zach Ryan and Caroline Conley, all of Union City.
Sending wishes were his great-great-aunt, Reba Tate of Ridgely; his aunts and uncles, Kristy Robinson and Danny Paul Bartlett, both of Union City, and Brent and Christina Robinson of Nashville; Jeff, Madison and Savannah Brown; Billy Ralph Miller, Kathy Appleton and Alex and Ben Hopkins, all of Union City; Ashley and Chris Cobb of Dyersburg; and his grandparents, Pete and Jan VanMerkestyn; his great-grandmother, Joan Thurston; and his aunt, Jennifer Johnson, all of Illinois.
Another party was held in Sheila Parks’ class at Union City Elementary, where the honoree attends. A “Pokemon” theme was used. Cake and drinks were served. Treat bags were also distributed.
A party was also held in the honoree’s Mission Friends class at Second Baptist Church in Union City. A “Transformers” theme was used. Cupcakes and drinks were served. Treat bags were distributed.
