Completed arrangements are being announced for Mary Rebecca “Becky” Coleman, 77, of Troy, who died 8:50 a.m. May 5, 2008, at her home.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Dilday Funeral Home in Union City, with the Rev. Eddie Mallonee officiating. Burial was to follow in Mount Ararat Cemetery near Union City.
Pallbearers were to be Dwight Baggett, Mike Barnett, Lloyd Dyer, Horace Dotson, Harry Johnson and Frank Johnson.
She was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Obion County, daughter of the late Rucker and Rosa (Vaughn) Nichols. She married Bill Coleman Nov. 18, 1952. He survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for many years.
Survivors also include her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Tracy Coleman of Union City; two granddaughters, Danielle Coleman of Troy and Elisha Easterwood of Union City; her great-grandson, Jonathon David Easterwood of Union City; and three sisters, Barbara Tate and Clara Dotson, both of Troy, and Margaret Meadows of Clinton, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Nichols and James Nichols.
The family requests that memorials be made to Obion County Cancer Agency’s Hometown Walk of Hope, P.O. Box 482, Union City, TN 38281.
