Wings Cancer Foundation expanding support for medically underserved
FormFitting, a program through the Wings Cancer Foundation, has been helping breast cancer patients in need of assistance. Women who are medically underserved are able to receive post-mastectomy care items such as breast prostheses and bras at no charge.
Now, beginning May 12, through a partnership with the Cancer Care Center of Jackson, Dyersburg, Paris and Union City, more women in West Tennessee will be able to benefit from the program as well.
Experts feel that the rate of recovery and quality of life for patients could be impacted by their sense of self. FormFitting reshapes and balances bodies, helping to maintain a positive self-image, providing items that fit their forms without revealing their loss.
For more information about FormFitting, contact Sally Hensley at the Wings Cancer Foundation at (901) 683-0055 ext. 1159 or Sabrina Young at the Cancer Care Center of Jackson, Dyersburg, Paris and Union City at (731) 668-1668.
