Bridal tea held for Miss Roberson
Amie Marie Roberson and Lace Thomas “Corey” Busby, both of Hickman, Ky., were recently honored with a bridal tea.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Keith “Squizz” and Becky Roberson of Hickman. Her grandparents are Bob and Amelia Ivey of Hickman and the late Yvonne and Gertrude Roberson of Ridgely.
The groom-elect is the son of Lace and Sandy Busby Jr. of Hickman. He is the grandson of Betty Ray of Clinton, Ky., and the late Lace Busby Sr., the late Josh and Selene McClure, Howard Erwin and the late Vonelle Erwin, all of Hickman.
The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. May 24 at First United Methodist Church in Hickman. Music will begin at 6.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Hickman Country Club. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
A gift tea was held recently in the Life Enrichment Center at Hickman (Ky.) First United Methodist Church. It was hosted by the ladies of the church.
Beautiful spring flowers from the gardens of several church members were used to decorate the center.
Guests were served homemade petit fours, strawberry cake, homemade mints, nuts and punch as the bride opened her gifts.
Special guests were the bridal couple’s mothers; the bride-elect’s grandmother; her sister, Lacy Roberson of Hickman; and Gwenda Bowman of Hickman.
