Several students from Obion County are among those set to graduate May 10 from Murray (Ky.) State University.
The graduates will include Angela Hale, bachelor of arts; Kimberly Hill, bachelor of arts; Jacob McKinnis, bachelor of science; Jennifer Owen, master of science; Carrye Scott, bachelor of science; Michael Taylor, bachelor of arts; Erica Thetford, bachelor of science; and Whitney Wolberton, bachelor of science.
Commencement will be held beginning at 10 a.m. in the Regional Special Events Center. Complete and updated commencement information can be viewed online at
According to information from the registrar’s office at MSU, a total of 1,308 students have applied for degrees at the end of the spring 2008 semester.

William Morgan Cruce, an Obion County student who is a senior at Lambuth University in Jackson, recently received the Campus Congregation Christian Leadership Award at Lambuth’s Honors Day Convocation.
Dr. Manning Garrett, associate professor of religion and philosophy, present the award.
Cruce is a religion major and serves as president of Lambuth’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has been on the Lambuth football team during his four years at the university.
