Palmersville couple arrested for meth and marijuana
A Palmersville couple faces drug charges after the execution of a search warrant of their home revealed crystal meth and marijuana.
According to a press release issued by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, Jessie Jones and Rebecca Garner of 455 Rawls Rd. in Palmersville have been charged with drug possession with intent to resale. Officers allegedly discovered one pound of crystal meth and one ounce of marijuana, scales, baggies and surveillance equipment in the couple’s home Friday night.
The release cites 10 weapons and prescription narcotics were also found during the execution of the search warrant.
According to an affidavit of complaint, Jones pointed and aimed a Glock 40 caliber weapon at the three officers when they knocked on the door of the residence.
The report also states officers found approximately $10,000 in cash at the home.
Jones is charged with possession of Schedule II with intent to resale; possession of Schedule VI with intent to resale and three charges of aggravated assault on a police officer.
Garner faces drug possession charges. They were arraigned in Weakley County General Sessions Court Monday.
WCSD Chief Deputy Mark Black, Lt. Kim Higgs and WCSD Invs. Marty Plunk and Eric Smith took part in the execution of the search warrant.
