Kirkland-Ward final plans

The final wedding plans for Sarah Hunter Kirkland of Martin, formerly of Union City, and Luke Aaron Ward of Martin, formerly of South Fulton, are being announced today.
Miss Kirkland is the daughter of Celio and Melissa Uniao of Covington, Ga., formerly of Union City, and Hunter and Laurie Kirkland of Union City. Her grandparents are Patricia Christian of Milan, formerly of Union City, the late James L. Christian, and Louise Kirkland of Union City and the late Turner Kirkland.
Ward is the son of Susan Ward of Union City and Mark Ward of Maryville, formerly of Martin. His grandparents are Cliff and Bobbie Pollis of Dresden and Aaron and Joyce Ward of Martin.
Christian Kirkland Smith, sister of the bride, of Chattanooga, formerly of Union City, will serve as matron of honor. Caitlin Kirkland, sister of the bride, of Atlanta, formerly of Union City, will serve as maid of honor. Kristen Freeman, friend of the bride, of Greenfield; Tara High, friend of the bride, of Martin; Elizabeth Mooney, lifelong friend, of Knoxville, formerly of Union City; and Katie Holland, sorority sister of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Memphis, of Memphis, will serve as bridesmaids. Autumn Carroll, cousin of the groom, of Dresden, will serve as the flower girl.
Donnie Roofner, friend of the groom, of South Fulton, will serve as best man. Mark Ward, father of the groom, of Maryville; Jeremy Workman, friend of the groom, of Martin; Daniel Choate, friend of the groom, of Fulton; and Caleb Carroll, cousin of the groom, of Dresden, will serve as groomsmen.
The double-ring ceremony will be performed by Judge Sam Nailling of Union City, and witnessed by family and close friends at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, on the family farm outside Union City.
A reception will immediately follow the ceremony on the farm.
