Jerry Winston Harkins, 66, of Kingston died at 4 p.m. April 26, 2008
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, with Waylon Payne officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Roane Memorial Gardens, with full military honors by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
He was affiliated with both Dyllis Baptist Church and Lee Village Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran dedicated to jail ministry and had formerly worked for the Central Intelligence Agency.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Harkins of Kingston; two sons, Danny Harkins of Knoxville and Mark Hawkins; his daughter, Wanda Roberts of Dresden; seven grandchildren Kristin Roberts, Jack Roberts and Katy Jo Roberts, all of Dresden, and Danielle Harkins, Matthew Harkins, Karah Harkins and Emily Harkins, all of Knoxville; and two sisters, Penny Winery of Kansas City, Mo., and Kathy Morin of Chattanooga.
