Final plans announced for Miss Kirkland, Ward
The final wedding plans for Sarah Hunter Kirkland of Martin, formerly of Union City, and Luke Aaron Ward of Martin, formerly of South Fulton, are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Celio and Melissa Uniao of Covington, Ga., formerly of Union City, and Hunter and Laurie Kirkland of Union City. Her grandparents are Patricia Christian of Milan, formerly of Union City, the late James L. Christian and Louise Kirkland of Union City and the late Turner Kirkland.
The groom-elect is the son of Susan Ward of Union City and Mark Ward of Maryville, formerly of Martin. His grandparents are Cliff and Bobbie Pollis of Dresden and Aaron and Joyce Ward of Martin.
The double-ring ceremony will be performed by Judge Sam Nailling of Union City and witnessed by family and close friends Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on the family farm outside of Union City.
Christian Kirkland Smith, sister of the bride-elect, of Chattanooga, formerly of Union City, will serve as matron of honor. Caitlin Kirkland, sister of the bride-elect, of Atlanta, formerly of Union City, will serve as maid of honor. Kristen Freeman of Greenfield, Tara High of Martin and Elizabeth Mooney of Knoxville, formerly of Union City, all friends of the bride-elect, and Katie Holland of Memphis, the bride-elect’s Pi Beta Phi sorority sister at the University of Memphis, will serve as bridesmaids. Autumn Carroll, cousin of the groom-elect, of Dresden will serve as the flower girl.
Donnie Roofner, friend of the groom-elect, of South Fulton will serve as best man. The groom’s father, Jeremy Workman of Martin and Daniel Choate of Fulton, friends of the groom-elect, and Caleb Carroll, cousin of the groom-elect, of Dresden will serve as groomsmen.
A reception will immediately follow the ceremony on the farm.
