Doris Garene Freeman, 78, of Kenton died April 25, 2008, at her home.
Services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Leitherland Funeral Home’s Kenton Chapel, with Marion Stephens officiating. Burial was to follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Kenton.
She was born Feb. 10, 1930, daughter of the late Elvin G. and Gleva Elizabeth (Wagner) Johnson. She was a housewife and a Methodist.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Jimmy Moore of Mason Hall and Deborah and Boyd Freeze of Kenton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Twyla Freeman, Keith and Michelle Freeman and Kerry and Jackie Freeman, all of Kenton; two sisters, Rebecca Baucom of Kenton and Joanne Johnston, Myrtle Creek, Ore.; two brothers, Donald Johnson of Kenton and Gene Johnson of Greenfield; her sister-in-law and her husband, Wilsie and Paris Cooper of Kenton; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dale Freeman; her daughter, Marylyn Freeman; her sister, Janet Richardson; and her brother, Pete Johnson.
