Herbert L. Hayden, 96, of South Fulton and Mounds, Ill., died April 24, 2008, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton. He had made his home in this area for the past three years but was a lifelong resident of Pulaski County, Ill.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Burial will follow there in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Saturday.
He was born Aug. 28, 1911, in Pulaski County, son of the late Ernliegh and Mildred Kay (Fuller) Hayden. He was the widower of Joyce (Goza) Hayden and was married to Margie (Wallace) Hayden of Anna, Ill., who survives. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors also include his son, Franklin Hayden of South Fulton; two stepsons; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his stepsister, Irene Day of Lincoln, Ill.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kay (Hayden) Hayes, and two brothers and two grandsons.
