Completed arrangements are being announced for John Thomas Hood, 77, of Troy, who died March 3, 2008, at his home.
Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rives, with the Rev. Michael Julian officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ed Cook, Gerald Hollis, Charles Lynn Jones, Harold Pollock, Larry Farley and Casey Hood.
There will be no visitation.
White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy is in charge of arrangements.
He was born March 29, 1930, in Rives, son of the late John P. and Mary Alice (Wherry) Hood. He had been manager of a Safeway store in California and had also been a highway patrolman there. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Michael A. Hood and Phillip L. Hood, both of California; two daughters, Debora Hood of California and Pamela A. (Hood) Treadwell of Milan; two nephews, Richard Hood and Kenny Hood, both of Obion; two sisters, Martha (Hood) Smith of Memphis and Nan Woodward of Montana; and his brother, George A. Hood.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill Hood; and his sister, Mary Nell Snow.
