The fifth annual West Tennessee Teen Institute will be held at Bethel College in McKenzie June 23-27. This is a fun-filled and educational five-day youth leadership camp sponsored by Mid-West Community Services Agency and the Tennessee Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. WTTI provides education and training for teens from 13-18 years old in areas of personal development, leadership and alcohol/drug abuse prevention.
The mission of the West Tennessee Teen Institute is to challenge the youth of West Tennessee to unlock their potential, lead by example and take a proactive role in bringing about positive changes in their own communities. There will be keynote speakers, workshops and a lot of fun and games, a spokesman said.
Schools, churches and other organizations interested in sponsoring a team to attend the camp, as well as those who simply need more information, may contact Kristi Townes, WTTI director, at Mid-West Community Services Agency at 884-2640.
