A Fulton man was arrested Monday on a charge stemming from an investigation of numerous complaints of property damage by business owners and citizens in Fulton.
Chris Draughn, 18, of 1108 West State Line, Fulton, was served with a warrant charging him with first-degree criminal mischief, according to a press release from the Fulton Police Department.
Numerous businesses in the Lake Street area of Fulton and citizens in the central Fulton area have recently complained of glass damage from BB and paintball projectiles. The property damage in the complaints has reached several thousands of dollars in claims and repairs, police reported.
“Through the efforts of our department’s officers and investigators, two individuals have been charged with these damages. (Draughn) and one juvenile have been charged and investigators are expecting to charge additional individuals as the investigation proceeds,” said Fulton Assistant Police Chief Jere Hughes, the department’s public information officer.
Hughes said any businesses and citizens who were victimized by the suspects should contact Fulton County (Ky.) Attorney Rick Major in order to initiate proceedings in the recovery of monetary damage costs.
Anyone who has additional information about the case is asked to contact the Fulton Police Department or their local law enforcement agency.
