We Care Ministries needs
We Care Thrift Store is open to the public on: Wednesday 1-3:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m.-noon; and second Monday of every month from 5-7 p.m.
Classes: The following classes will be offered at the Martin Housing Authority Stuart Center: Career Basics, Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 a.m.; Adult Classes, Tuesdays and Fridays, 9:30-11:30 a.m.; and Budgeting, call 587-6257 or 587-3186 to sign up.
Food Bank: Paper towels, toilet paper, canned vegetables (carrots, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, beans, mixed vegetables and peas), potted meat, Vienna sausages, Sloppy Joe sauce, Jack mackerel, salt, cake mix, frosting, brownies, peanut butter, jello, canned soup, medium-size bottled mouth wash and soap.
Assistance needs: Diapers (partial packages are accepted), Stage 3 baby food and juice, and Ensure for special needs clients.
Thrift Store: Good mattress and box spring sets, bed frames, manual and electric can openers, good bath and kitchen towels; full, queen and king size bedding; good pots and pans; electric skillets; dishes; baking dishes; clear packing tape; super glue; Windex; pictures, clean baby items; blue, red, yellow, purple and green poster board; craft paints, and black and white spray paint.
Furniture Store: Refrigerators, stoves, washing machines and dryers, beds, clean couches and chairs and good furniture. Please NO built-in appliances.
Clothing Store: Maternity clothes; men and children jeans.
Office and Store: Copier paper, wide masking tape, 2×4 pegboard sheets.
If you wish for We Care Ministries to benefit from your donation, please bring items during office hours or leave your items in the drop box only. Bagged items in garbage bags fit into the drop box. Items left on the porch of the building are often damaged by rain or stolen and resold in yard sales.
Donation Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 7:30 a.m. – noon Saturdays.
Hours of Assistance: 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
