Students compete for Hendrix
The Hendrix Scholarship, Bethel’s most prestigious academic scholarship, will offer full tuition, room and board to the incoming freshman who performed best in the college’s academic competition. An additional full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to the competition’s runner-up. Students came from as far away as Alabama and Virginia to compete for the scholarship, which was established, by Nashville civic leader and businessman Willard R. Hendrix in 1988. During the two-day competition on Feb. 15-16, they completed an examination and an interview. Hendrix winners will be announced by around Feb. 22. wcp 2-21-08 None
