Herbert L. Morrison
Herbert L. Morrison, 85, of Memphis, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at his residence.
Services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park North Chapel in Memphis. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Morrison was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Weakley County, son of the late Orvin M. and Lola Brown Morrison. He was a member of Leawood Baptist Church, a 50-year Mason and Past Master of Raleigh Lodge No. 770 A. & F.M., a member of Memphis Scottish Rites, a World War II Army veteran, member of Good Sam Camping Club and retired from Kimberly-Clark after 38 years.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jean Morrison of Memphis; one daughter, Jean Carolyn Kennedy of Virginia; one son, Michael Morrison of Memphis; two sisters, Mary Wilson of Union City and Judy Hazelwood of Chestnut Glade community; two brothers, Dean Morrison of McConnell and Billy Morrison of Martin; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James M. Morrison.
