Lois (McCord) Drewry, 84, of Union City died 10:15 p.m. Feb. 16, 2008, at Martin Healthcare.
Graveside services were set for 2 p.m. today at Beulah Cemetery in Union City, with the Rev. Jerry Leggett officiating. Dilday Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born April 6, 1923, in Gibson County, daughter of the late H.O. and Ruth (Russell) McCord. She married L.C. Drewry Jan. 5, 1947. He died July 26, 1996. She was a graduate of the former Woodland Mills High School and was a retired operator for the former Southern Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of the former Beulah Baptist Church near Union City and she attended Union City’s First Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynda Ruth Drewry of Nashville; and her sister, Marie Brown of Oak Harbor, Wash.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Tommy Drewry; three infant sons; and three brothers, Horace B. McCord, O.B. McCord and John R. McCord.
