Florence Anna Hamilton, 88, of Samburg died Feb. 14, 2008, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Cortese will officiate and private burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak at a later date.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
She was born May 2, 1919, in Bay City, Mich., daughter of the late Fred and Ruby (Poirier) Merritt. She married Ernest Green Hamilton Dec. 29, 1951. He died March 27, 1981. She was a homemaker and had been a waitress at the former The Pier and Eagle Nest restaurants at Reelfoot Lake.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City.
Survivors include her son, Perry Hamilton of Samburg; her granddaughter, Sara Hamilton of Rives; two great-granddaughters, India Hamilton and Maya Hamilton, both of Rives; her great-grandson, Abram Hamilton of Rives; two sisters, Bertha Stanolis of Coldwater, Mich., and Anna Messner of Winter Haven, Fla.; and her brother and sister-in-law, John and Sandy Merritt of Spring Lake, Mich.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Cecelia Stanolis, Louise Gortz and Rita Stanolis; and two brothers, Ernest Stanolis and Ray Stanolis.
