Completed arrangements are being announced for Ruth Rebecca Puckett, 83, of South Fulton. She died 10:50 p.m. Feb. 13, 2008, at Clinton-Hickman County ICF in Clinton, Ky.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Bob Gorton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Weakley County.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services.
She was born Oct. 15, 1924, in Graves County, Ky., daughter of the late Isaac W. and Ora (Simon) Watts. She was the widow of Nathan Jewell Puckett and was a retired secretary for the Macomb County Road Commission in Mount Clemens, Mich. She had moved back to this area from Michigan in 1984 and was a member of Trinity Worship Center in Union City, where she had been president of the Women’s Ministry. She was also a member of Senior Circle at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Ron Cleveland of South Fulton; her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond S. and Deborah Puckett of South Fulton; two sisters, Ethel Dillon and Kay Varner, both of Clinton; her brother, John B. Watts of Milburn, Ky.; four grandchildren, Tommy Puckett and Tim Puckett, both of Troy, Mich., Suzanne Penrod of Apple Valley, Calif., and Ron Cleveland II of South Fulton; and six great-grandchildren, Becky Larson of Victorville, Calif., Tommy Puckett II and J.J. Puckett, both of Royal Oak, Mich., Dana Lynn Cleveland of Corvalis, Ore., and Michael Penrod and Kasi Penrod, both of Apple Valley.
She was also preceded in death by her sister.
