Valentine’s Day concert planned at UC Auditorium

Valentine’s Day concert planned at UC Auditorium

Canadian Sarah Pacheco’s vocal artistry has won her fans in her native country and far beyond.
Local audiences will be treated to a special Valentine Feb. 14 as Community Concert showcases her talent, grace, beauty and unique song-styling on the local stage at Union City Civic Auditorium.
When the curtain rises at 7:30 p.m., lovers of all ages will be able to celebrate the day planned just for them as Ms. Pacheco shares her own melodious Valentine.
Described as a peerless interpreter of standards and show songs, she takes special delight in paying tribute to the Swing Era but is equally at home with jazz and pop standards.
Her performances in Canada, the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and the West Indies have earned the multi-lingual young entertainer many fans, including tourists on holiday and heads of state.
Her curtain calls come in pairs — at a minimum — because audiences are reluctant to end an evening of delightful entertainment showcasing her range, exquisite tone and mature musicianship.
At home among small and intimate gatherings of music lovers as well as seaside festival audiences of more than 50,000, Ms. Pacheco communicates with passion, style and excitement, whether she sings in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
Entertainment Review says she is blessed with that “special quality” and “her voice is a once in a lifetime experience.”
Judge for yourself and celebrate Valentines with some sweet, sweet music at the Community Concert show-stopper.
A few memberships are still available for this performance, remaining reciprocal shows in Dyersburg (Lance Brown’s Will Rogers Now! on April 1) and Murray, Ky. (Orion Weiss on March 10) and the local April 10 season wrap-up with Riders in the Sky at the Civic Auditorium.
Call 536-4569 or visit the Web site at www.communityconcertuc.org for more information.
For a “visit” with Ms. Pacheco prior to showtime, stop by her Web site at www.sarahpacheco.com.
