Debora Ann “Debbie” (Ray) Gibson, 52, of Hornbeak died Feb. 5, 2008, at her home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Jeff Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rives.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Allen Tidwell, Joe Smith, Bud Garrison, Nelson Dorton, Keith Morrow, Joe Morrow and Dwayne Tarkington.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis or the Tennessee Children’s Home in Springhill.
She was born May 17, 1955, in Obion County, daughter of Wilma (Crocker) Ray of Troy and the late James Arlin Ray. She married Phillip Gibson Aug. 27, 1975. He died Jan. 1, 2001.
She was a computer teacher at Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility in Tiptonville for 15 years and was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ in Union City.
Survivors also include her daughter, Heather Gibson of Hornbeak; her brother, Anthony Ray of Troy; her uncle, Coleman Crocker of Union City; and her fiancé, Randy Phelps of Hornbeak.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jason Gibson.
