IMPORTANCE OF VOTING— Weakley County Republican President Marilucile Counce and guest speaker Adam Hall discuss the importance of voting at the ladies’ monthly meeting on Jan. 26 at Brandy’s Restaurant in Martin. Hall asked two questions: 1. Why should you vote? and 2. Who should you vote for? He challenged those present to vote in order to preserve the conservative ideals of our Founding Fathers. Some of those ideals are smaller government, fewer taxes, a strong national defense, a pro-life stance respecting the sanctity of life from conception to the grave, the belief in free enterprise, freedom of the individual to become all he is meant to become, leadership that is strong and a good steward of the public treasury, strict constitutionalists in the courts who do not seek to legislate from the bench and leaders who have faith in God. The group’s next meeting will be at 12 p.m. Feb. 16 at Brandy’s Restaurant in Martin. Everyone is welcome. None
