Phillip Ray Wright
Phillip Ray Wright, 62, of Greenfield, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services were held 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Greenfield, with Dr. Joe Lusby and the Rev. Wendall Jellison officiating. Burial was in Wood Cemetery in Martin. Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield was in charge of arrangements.
Luther Neblett, Eddie Joe McKelvy, Mark Huffstettler, Randy Huffstettler, Dan Elam, Gavin Elam, Jason Overton, Joe Porter, Roger Stewart and Larry Mitchell served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry LeCornu, Johnny Cavendar, Jack Porter, James Porter and Billy Smithson.
Wright was born Aug. 26, 1945, in Memphis, son of the late Ira Dale and Martha Sue Parish Wright. He was owner and operator of Whitehouse Inc. in Greenfield.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Armour Wright of Greenfield; one son, Brent “B” (Sherrie) Wright of Greenfield; one daughter, Beth (Trent) Scates of Greenfield; two brothers, Richard (Donna) Wright of Martin and Clem (Peggy) Wright of South Fulton; and five grandchildren, Reed, McCall, Amy Claire, Anna Dale and Matt.
