Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Long

60 YEARS — Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Long of Troy will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Troy Senior Citizens Center. He married the former Vallie B. Armstrong Feb. 3, 1948, in Corinth, Miss. She is the daughter of the late Henry and Izora (Flowers) Armstrong and is retired from the former Salant & Salant. He is the son of the late Ezra and Dollie (Fulcher) Long and is retired from Rick Hill Nissan. They are the parents of Brenda Alexander of Nashville, Peggy Lewis of Troy, Freeman Long Jr. and Terry Long, both of Union City, Shelia Patey of Memphis and Tim Long of Obion. They have 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. All family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
