Completed arrangements are being announced for Timothy Gene “Tim” Lewis, 44, of Troy, who died 5:59 p.m. Jan. 23, 2008, in the emergency room of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dilday Funeral Home in Union City, with burial following in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jamie Long, David Higgins, Monroe Quinn, Mike Jones, Kent Treece, Terry Sampson and Alvin Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be employee of Southern Concrete Products.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening and from 8 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
He was born Jan. 23, 1964, in Union City, son of the late Buddy Gene and Betty Jo (Long) Lewis. He had been employed as a truck driver for Southern Concrete Products in Union City and was a member of Union City Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristy Lewis of Obion and Dafeny Ruiz of Troy; two granddaughters, Alyssa Crowell of Obion and Brittney Davis of Troy; four aunts, Jimmie Davis and Betty Nelson, both of Union City, and Lee Ellar Cleek and Bonnie Griffin, both of Troy; and two uncles, Buddy Long of Troy and Clarence Long of Cambria, Ill.
