Ethel Carline Hawks, 77, of Greenfield, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home, with Bruce McCartney officiating. Burial was in Morris Cemetery in Greenfield.
Raymond Hollis, Randall Hollis, Damon Hollis, Adam Hollis, Troy Hollis and Zeek McAdams served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hawks was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Greenfield, daughter of the late Carl D. Childress and Ava Smith. She was the widow of Damon Hollis and Johnnie Hawks and worked for Stetson Boots.
Survivors include five sons, Ronald (Judy) Hollis and Robert (Sharon) Hollis, both of Greenfield, Raymond (Anita) Hollis and Randall (Tomena) Hollis, both of McKenzie, and Jimmy (Shelia) Cupples of Fruitland; one daughter, Kay (Keith) Travis of Memphis; four sisters, Mary Sue Baxter of California, Sarah Mitchell of Michigan, Lillie Cantrell of Greenfield and Joan Lassiter of Texas; and four brothers, Gilbert Childress of Milan, David Childress and Robert Childress, both of Greenfield, Danny Ray Childress and Stanley Childress, both of Florida.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Cupples; two brothers, James Roy Childress and Thomas Childress; one sister, Pauline Franks; and one grandchild.

None
