Leatha Mae Maddox-Williams, 67, of South Fulton died at her home Jan. 20, 2008.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with Dr. Jesse LO Webb and Melvin Puckett officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the hour of services Thursday.
The family requests that memorials be made to Relay for Life, 302 Carr St., Fulton, KY 42041.
She was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Fulton County, Ky., daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin “B.F.” and Martha Elizabeth (Morris) Williams. She was the widow of James Thomas Maddox Sr. and was a member of Brooks Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Fulton. She had been employed at the former Manor Care Nursing Home in the housekeeping department and had also worked at the former Wilson Packing Co. She had formerly made her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail C. Maddox of South Fulton; her granddaughter, MacKenzie Maddox of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law, Kathy Maddox of Cedar Rapids; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie B. and Thelma Williams of South Fulton and Floyd and Maurice Williams, Darell and Arletha Williams and Donald and Kathy Williams, all of Cedar Rapids; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gwendora Williams, Beulah and Dale Brown, Althea and John Wayne Motley and Dennia Williams, all of South Fulton.
She was also preceded in death by her son, James “Chicken” Maddox Jr.; and two brothers, Ronald Williams and Boyd Williams.
