‘Spanish Basics,’ ‘Using MS Word’
“Spanish Basics for You” and “Using MS Word – Beginner” are two of the courses offered in February by the University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Extended Campus and Continuing Education.
“Spanish Basics for You” is planned from 6-8 p.m., Tuesdays, Feb. 5-26. The instructor is Ron Ramage, and the fee is $55. This class is designed to give participants a sampling of Spanish and to provide resources to help them continue learning Spanish. There are no books, no tests and very little grammar. The class is conversation-based.
“Using MS Word – Beginner” will be offered 9 a.m.-noon, Feb. 26 and 28. The instructor will be Doug Bloodworth, UT Martin programmer/analyst, and the fee is $85.
Participants will learn to create, edit and organize documents, navigate the window and learn about the menu, toolbars and task panes. Also, there will be instruction about margins, page layouts, columns, tables, headers, footers, fonts, paragraphs, editing text, undo, redo and clip art. Finally, class members will learn about getting help, printing, backups and security. Advance registration is required.
