Shophers 50th wedding anniversary
The children of Harrel and Evonne Shopher are proud to announce the upcoming 50th wedding anniversary of their parents. The Shophers were married Feb. 1, 1958, at Thompson Creek Baptist Church near Como.
Harrel Shopher is retired from the Weakley County Board of Education were he was the school maintenance supervisor. Evonne Shopher has been affiliated with Gingerbread Junction Nursery School in Dresden for the past 25 years and is currently semi-retired. Both are active members of Thompson Creek Baptist Church where he serves as deacon and treasurer.
The Shophers have two sons, Stanley Shopher of Como and Kerry Shopher of Dukedom. They have six grandchildren, Lesa Finch and husband Phil Don Finch, Annie Olive and husband Israel Olive, Brittany Shopher, Stephen Shopher, Stephanie Shopher and Tiffany Shopher. They have four great-grandchildren, Grace Finch, Dryver Finch, Aiden Lawrence and Jorja Finch.
The Shopher’s children and grandchildren welcome all of their friends and family to join them in a celebration of their anniversary from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Thompson Creek Baptist Church in Como. Your friendship is their cherished gift, and they respectfully request no others.
