Edward “Red” Brunswick, 86, of Hickman, Ky., died at his home 4 p.m. Jan. 18, 2008.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman, with the Revs. Henry Callison and Jason Sipes officiating. Burial was to follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Casey Brunswick, Christopher Brunswick, Matthew Brunswick, Eric Baggett, Eddie Brunswick, John Anthony Choate, Eric Choate and Thomas Hardy Miller.
He was born June 15, 1921, in Mound City, Ill., son of the late Elmer and Maude Brunswick. He was married to Martha Brunswick, who survives, and was a retired towboat captain for McAllister Construction Co. He was a member of West Hickman Baptist Church.
Survivors also include four sons, Gene Brunswick and Tom McCollum, both of Paducah, Ky., Bobby Joe Brunswick of Woodland Mills and Joe Mack Brunswick of Hickman; four daughters, Janet Baggett and Linda Holcombe, both of Union City, Nancy Kunselman of Houston and Sandra Miller of Memphis; and 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Ann Webb and Martha Jean Forsythe; two brothers, Alfred Brunswick and William Brunswick; and three sisters, Elsie Miller, Velda Conn and Jackie Recardi.
